Downtown Westminster continues to grow with the groundbreaking of Blossom Commons, a new affordable housing community developed by Volker Development. The project officially broke ground on April 14, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the Downtown Westminster neighborhood and the City of Westminster.
Blossom Commons represents a $26 million investment in the community and will provide 50 affordable homes for older adults earning between 30% and 70% of the Area Median Income (AMI). The development will remain deed restricted for 60 years, helping ensure long-term housing affordability in Westminster. Residents will enjoy one- and two-bedroom homes along with a variety of indoor and outdoor amenities designed to support comfort, connection, and quality of life.
The project is made possible through partnerships with Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Adams County Government, Jefferson County, and Foothills Regional Housing. Financing partners include Midwest Housing Equity Group, Boston Capital Finance, BOK Financial, and Mercy Community Capital. The design and construction teams includes Coburn Architecture, Craft Civil Design, and Deneuve Construction Services.
Blossom Commons will help advance the City of Westminster’s vision for a vibrant, inclusive, and connected Downtown.
